-प्रसिद्ध समाजसेवी ‘नानाजी देशमुख’ द्वारा स्थापित ‘दीनदयाल शोध संस्थान’ आज देश के लब्धप्रतिष्ठित सामाजिक एवं शोध प्रतिष्ठानों में अपनी एक  जगह बना चुका है। परंतु आज जिस मुकाम पर ये सफलतापूर्वक खड़ा है इसका श्रेय जाता है इस संस्थान के प्रधान सचिव भरत पाठक को।

भरत पाठक का जन्म 8 अगस्त 1967 को मध्यप्रदेश के छतरपुर शहर में हुआ। पिता ख्यालीराम आर.एस.एस के स्वयंसेवक थे। माताजी भी राष्ट्र सेविका समिति के कार्यों में हमेशा गतिशील रहीं। ये दो भाई और एक बहन हैं। इनकी पत्नी श्रीमती नंदिता पाठक दीनदयाल शोध संस्थान के अनेक प्रकल्पों को संचालित और नियंत्रित करती हैं। इनकी दो बेटियां है- अपूर्वा और अनन्या।

भरत पाठक की प्रारंभिक शिक्षा छतरपुर में ही हुई। 1983 से 1991 तक अखिल भारतीय विद्यार्थी परिषद में अलग-अलग दायित्वों में रहकर कार्य किया। 1989 से 1990 तथा 1990 से 1991 तक मध्यप्रदेश के महाकौशल प्रांत के स्टेट सेक्रेटरी रहें। 1992 में इनका चयन मध्यप्रदेश लोक सेवा आयोग में हुआ। ये नानाजी के साथ सामाजिक उत्थान के कार्य में लगे हैं।
